For new students, their first contact with the univeristy (and its students) is through the Meet and Greet at the temporary accomodations and at the students villages, and at the Welcome Centre on each campus. The volunteers help the students by taking them to the campuses, geting their login details and their student cards, sorting out any problems that the students may have. The volunteers also take the students out to the city to help them obtain whatever they need – mobile phone cards, bank accounts etc. It can be hectic, given the sheer number of students coming in at any given time. Luckily, though, the volunteers are dedicated and determined to make all new students as comfortable as possible.

ISC was coordinating the Meet and Greet events at some of the temporary accomodation venues, and members also helped out in the Welcome Centre. Our aim is to help international students in any way we can, and this was one of those opportunities where we got a chance to prove it!
